There was no sign of either the Shore Larks or the Lapland Buntings on their regular section of beach at Quad 3 this morning. As well as the recent shift of the tide-wrack, the beach was subject to some disturbance by walkers and horses. Birds of note included 18 Twite, 2 Stonechats, 6 Whooper Swans and 2 Short-eared Owls. A dead Razorbill was on the strand-line. With Jeremy Fraser. |

4 shorelarks to the south of quad 3 towards howdens pullover at approx 12.00 hrs plus 1 lapland and 4 twite. ringtail hen harrier and jack snipe. terry whalin john nelson colin howard plus 2 boston lads. could see 4 birders about 600 yds north of us later arrived at donna nook approx 14.00 hrs male hen harrier and juv glaucous gull on the beach then flew north. |
