Post subject:  Chiffchaffs at Humberston

Two (possibly three) chiffchaffs heard (and watched) at 12.40am today in willow trees near footbridge access to Tetney Marshes from Thorpe Park holiday park. It seems very early in the season, even for chiffies, so perhaps these are birds that have overwintered rather than made the long migration.

Also peregrine over saltmarsh and one singing skylark.

Nige Lound and I observed a single Chiffchaff in willows at Churchill Lane NNR car park 10 03 17
I have not seen one in the area since last Dec.

There was a movement of Chiffchaffs at Donna Nook today with 7 seen and 1 singing.
