This morning 8 till 9am 1 c scoter. 2 goldeneye. 2 adult Whoopers dropped in and left at 8.50. 50 hirundines through. Nearly all sand martins with a few swallows. 1 curlew displaying . 2 yellow wags. Birdtracked. Cheers. Rick |

Interestingly, this morning 5 Whooper Swans dropped in at 0735 and then left (north) at 0820. Similar to the two reported by Rick yesterday. Also; Yellow Wagtail - c8 White Wagtail - 2 Dunlin - 1 Oystercatcher - 2 Tree Sparrow - 6 (one carrying nesting material) Wigeon - a pair Shoveler - a pair Teal - two pairs Swallow - 1 (both the Goldeneye & Common Scoter not present this morning) yesterday I had similar to Rick below All birdtracked! |

This morning. 9am 100 hirundines, mainly sand martins with a few house martins and swallows 1 greenshank over 2 curlew 1 yellow wag 10 pied wag 4 singing blackcap Cheers. Rick |

Tuesday 25 April 10am 2 wheatear 6 yellow wags 3 pied wags 100+ mixed hirundines, similar numbers of s martin, h martin, swallow 1 swift 14 gadwall 9 shelduck little else on the water no waders, gulls or terns Cheers. Rick |

Fine male Whinchat on the fenceline on the south side this morning (photo will be posted in album). A Common Sandpiper was on the east side (dodging the numerous anglers!) and also 6 Wheatear, 2 White Wagtail and at least one Common Swift amongst c. 100 hirundines, including a few more House Martin at last. Still no terns or gulls, however. Richard. |
