No sign of the garganey between 1.30-2.30 this afternoon. Just two little ringed plovers. At least two wheatears and two yellow wagtails. Also single buzzard and kestrel. Blackcap singing near the car park and chiffchaffs heard afar. Steady passage of swallows. ( I hope those infamous flies aren't poisonous - one swarm was particularly dense and I inadvertently swallowed a couple.) |
