An amazing day of inland spring birding! Apex & Teals Pit, Whisby - Lincoln Arctic Tern 15 (10 north didn't stop) Black Tern 24 Teals Lake - could well have been more, birds arriving & leaving all the time. 24 together Sandwich Tern 1 Garganey 1 m still present Kirkby on Bain GP Black Tern 5 Little Gull 1 Common Tern 50+ Knot 1 Dunlin 1 Thurlby Pits Black Tern 4 Little Tern 1 ( shortly after it left Thurlby, a Little Tern was seen to fly through Apex Pits ) Regards David Follow me on Twitter - @davidjenkins55 |
