Following a winter which failed to produce any sightings, a female Siskin visiting feeders in our Dunston garden today (23/5) was therefore a welcome surprise, on what I would have thought is a fairly late date for a migrant. I would be surprised if this was a local breeder as nearby habitat doesn't seem particularly favourable. Matthew |
