Donna Nook today, 1 Great White Egret on the DNRS first pool nearest car park, 1 Grey Plover, 2 Knot, 1 Bar-tailed Godwit and 9 Sandwich Tern on the beach. |

The egret was more flighty in today's windy conditions and actually flew inland towards North Somercotes at 1115, but fortunately returned a few minutes afterwards. Also of note on the realignment area were 2 Wigeon, 6 Avocets, 24 Black-tailed Godwits, 60 Golden Plovers, 9 Lapwings, 2 Whimbrel, a Marsh Harrier and a Hobby. Heading SW inland were 310 Swallows, 12 Sand Martins, one House Martin and 15 Common Swifts. |
