Reed warbler carrying nesting material (a leaf) in dyke at Little Buck Beck pumping station, Cleethorpes, this morning.
Also kingfisher hunting under the adjacent road bridge, oblivious of the holiday traffic passing overhead.
The footpath stretching from the pumping station to Cleethorpes country park is quite decent for birding because it overlooks reed/ sedge on one side and scrubland/ Cleethorpes golf course on the other.
It provides a good view over diverse habitat for any guests staying at the back of the Premier Inn
There is a conspicuous owl nestbox en route, but I don't know whether it has ever attracted occupants.
