A strong passage of Common Swifts developed during the morning and lasted until the early afternoon. Birds were coming in from the shore, often very high, continuing inland mostly between WSW and SW and totalled 1,080 in all. 160 Swallows, 4 House Martins and a Sand Martin also headed NW.

Highlights on the realignment area included 202 Redshanks, 3 Greenshanks, 20 Golden Plovers, 2 Black-tailed Godwits, a Common Sandpiper, 17 Little Egrets, a Mediterranean Gull, a Kingfisher, 5 Yellow Wagtails, 3 Willow Warblers, 3 Blackcaps, a Marsh Harrier, 4 Common Buzzards and 9 Kestrels.
