The tern roost movement on the full tide was more interesting at Pye's Hall this evening. Five Black Terns passed south at 1845 before any other terns were seen, then 2,400 Common Terns were counted crossing the Humber mouth up until dusk, with just 28 Arctic Terns and 10 Sandwich Terns. Other counts of note included 3 Arctic Skuas, 8,000 Black-headed Gulls, 2,500 Common Gulls, one Little Gull, 220 Curlews, 10 Whimbrel, 800 Golden Plovers, 125 Grey Plovers, 54 Ringed Plovers and 6 Greenshanks. The Osprey was seen well and roosted on a beach pole close to Pye's Hall.
