Post subject:  Another Spotted Flycatcher in BBH Garden - 7 September

Birding wonders will never cease! After the Juvenile SpotFly on 26 August, another Spotted Flycatcher (adult) has appeared in my garden. The bird was present for at least an hour from 10 o'clock this morning (Thursday), flying-insect catching in the sun from the Sycamore, Cherry and Hawthorn trees in the south-facing Copse at the bottom of the garden. What initially attracted my attention was a bird-wave/wave of birds with 20+ birds active at the front edge of the Copse including Wood Pigeon, Chaffinch, Great Tit, Blue Tit, Robin, Dunnock, Starling and Blackbird. The adult SpotFly also appeared, giving excellent close views through my binoculars.

I really must check the Copse trees more regularly at migration time in future.
