A seawatch on the rising tide at the south end was productive. In just over two hours, moving north were 163 Gannets, 24 Kittiwakes, 7 Great Skuas, 6 Arctic Skuas, one Pomarine Skua, 4 skuas sp., 7 Sandwich Terns, 15 Common Terns, 10 Manx Shearwaters, 91 Teal, 19 Wigeon and 11 Common Scoters. To the south were 40 Gannets, one Great Skua, one Pomarine Skua, one Long-tailed Skua, 2 Guillemots, 15 auks sp., one Arctic Tern, one Manx Shearwater, 2 Sooty Shearwaters, 8 Red-throated Divers, one Great Northern Diver, 3 Common Scoters and some Pink-footed Geese which I could hear only. A small petrel, possibly Leach's, was glimpsed briefly before it disappeared into the wave troughs.
