First visit to MSQ 13/7/7 what a super place.
Blackcap 1 male
Reed Bunting 2 male
Tree Creeper 1
Marsh or Willow Tits 4 [thought they were Marsh]
Kingfisher with fish 1
Green Woodpecker 1

Hi there Sue,

They were Willow Tits that you saw as Marsh Tits are not found in the north of the county. The nearest sites in Lincs for Marsh Tit are just south of Lincoln.
Messingham is a great place to see Willow Tits and they are always worth noting, as nationally they are declining at a considerable rate.

many years ago me and dj had marsh tits at brumby common,wonder if he remembers this?the call being the id,also bearded tits were not unusual at msq,but i have not seen them now there for donkeys
