It was encouraging today to see two young Barn Owls on the wing and hunting on outskirts of Barton this afternoon.

Lovely views of this family again tonight. One juvenile practising its flying skills.  great view of parent bird hunting successfully, caught voles/mice one after the other and seen carrying prey back to nest. Young still in the nest heard squawking like mad even though the nest site is approx 200 yards away from where we observe. They have nested in a willow tree so now we have named them the "Willow FamilY! Shall keep visiting, such a pleasure and a privelege to watch!M&M |
