Linda & I were sat watching the tide come in at the tern roost from 4.30-8.00 p.m., and a lovely evening it was too !

Didn't attempt to count the terns but a large number of both adult & juvenile Sandwich, some of which carried BTO metal rings. About 20 Common Terns - just one juv. No Arctic Terns.

Four Artic Skuas and one Great Skua flew south but none settled on the beach.
Also saw seven Common Scoters on the sea, two Little Egrets, three Greenshanks & one Whimbrel in one of the channels.

Met the Tern Warden + assistant at the north end.
She was doing a good job Kev. !

Roy.
