Hi

Sorry for late posting, but just got into the office.

3 Spoonbills circled the new Marsh Farm reservoir at 17:45, decided against landing and then flew north and lost to view (1 adult, 2 juvs). Would have been an excellent addition to the garden list if they had appeared two minutes earlier!

Tabs head -

pale phase juv Arctic skua
up to 40 little terns, mostly adults.
5+ Sandwich terns
Kingfisher

Cheers,
PF

Tab's Head is (as far as i know) the large marker post at the Witham Mouth. Whenever locals refer to Tabs Head, it means the end of the footpath along the southern side of the Witham. This is pretty much opposite the LBC hide at Cut End. So you can see the same stuff that you do at Cut End, but you can't really see the mudflats at Freiston Shore. However, you can see the Welland channel, and get great views of the waders roosting on the rocks in front of you. Be warned though, its a long walk!
