Sorry for late posting again (!)

2 Whinchats were at the Montagu's harrier watchpoint at Digby Fen on Tuesday (31 July). Thought it is quite an early date, so presumably they've not come too far?

there were 2 adult Whinchat in Worlaby Carrs on the 22nd; I think with the spring weather wash out a lot of adult birds will have wandered early; juvenile Wheatears around here for 2 weeks now and they have come from at least N Yorks so probably not safe to assume that anything is local by the end of July; I had a colour ringed juv Wheatear one year at N Killingholme which had come down from the N York Moors still with down on it!
