Post subject:  Flooded field Cumberworth

A drying out flooded field at TF 497728 Cumberworth had the following yesterday and today:

Black-tailed Godwit - 120
Lapwing - 300
Snipe - 12
Dunlin - 14
Greenshank - 5
Redshank - 7
Ruff - 9
Green Sandpiper - 5
Common Sandpiper - 10
Little Grebe - 3
Grey Heron - 3

The birds are very flighty and fly off at the drop of a hat.

Max numbers from David Lillywhite who lives at Fenside.

David Lillywhite has given me this count for the field today:

Lapwing - 200+
Black-tailed Godwit - 89
Greenshank - 8
Redshank - 6
Ruff - 10
Green Sandpiper - 10
Dunlin - 1
Snipe - C30
Yellow Wagtail - 1
Teal - 30

Had a quick look over the field at 10:30 today:

Lapwing - 200+
Black-tailed Godwit - 31 one is a colour ringed bird that I saw at Gib a couple of weeks ago.
Snipe - 12
Green Sand - 2
Common Sand - 1
Ruff - 2
Dunlin - 7
Little ringed Plover - 1
Greenshank - 1
