Approx counts this evening sandwich tern 1200 common tern 350 arctic tern 4 arctic skua 20 red-throated diver swallow 500 south plus 800 going to roost at the Mere sand martin 200 little ringed plover 6 on Tennyson's Cheers Kev |

Certainly looks as though Little Ringed Plovers are moving through the county at the moment. Are they mostly juvs?? |

The group of six consisted of three juvs and three adults. Hirundine numbers are really building up now. Over 1000 swallows at the Mere roost this evening (per M Briggs). I'm sure it will take a few more to put a dent in the mosquito population here ! Cheers Kev |
