Grabbed a half-hour to bird-watch at Boston Cemetery this afternoon. Erm.....

Almost an entire non-event apart from:

4 Wood Pigeons
5 Collared Doves
10 House Sparrows
3 Blackbirds.....

Why on Earth didn't I adopt a more stoic attitude to the weather forecast and go to Freiston Shore as normal? Knowing my luck, I bet the rareties were all there today!

Finally, is Boston Cemetery all it's cracked up to be bird-wise, and why, out of several visits there, have I been so down on my luck birding-wise? People speak of there being Nuthatches, Jays and the like but I've never seen them. My most exotic sighting has been a Great Tit on my first visit and precious little since...... perhaps I'm not looking in the right places or going at the right times..... but whatever it is, I hope my luck becomes better!
