a fine adult Ross's Goose at Barton this am; flew in off the Wolds with Greylags and then flew around the pits for a long spell before they all landed on the Humber (an odd action for local birds and clearly a newly arrived flock but from where?) they were flushed by two Grey Herons and flew off south-east but could not be found later--see album |

Saw this goose on Tuesday evening with Greylags, they flew over Ferriby Road heading down towards Far Ings, thought it was some sort of escapee until reading your posting. Mick |
