a fine adult Ross's Goose at Barton this am; flew in off the Wolds with Greylags and then flew around the pits for a long spell before they all landed on the Humber (an odd action for local birds and clearly a newly arrived flock but from where?) they were flushed by two Grey Herons and flew off south-east but could not be found later--see album

Saw this goose on Tuesday evening with Greylags, they flew over Ferriby Road heading down towards Far Ings, thought it was some sort of escapee until reading your posting.
