several visits to cleethorpes high tide this wk these are the highlights of a generally poor wk.
monday 3rd

20 terns sandwich/common mix
female peregrine put everything up.
2 lesser whitethroat
willow warbler
tues 4th

med gull
4 sandwich
6 common terns
25 teal in 2 small flocks
20 common scoter
common buzzard

up very early thursday 6th to take my daughter to manchester airport
leaving home 04.30 hrs
i could hear a flock of geese calling, they seemed high and distant, i never saw them it was to dark. Sounded like very early pink feet but numbers unknown.
friday 7th

highlight of the wk, i spent 20 minutes watching a superb hobby hunting over the golf course near north sea lane. i had the full aerobatic display, feet dropping feeding on the wing. no swallows in sight so it must have been insects. It was last seen going south over the fitties area around 14.00 hrs. When you see sights like that it reminds me of why i love birds so much.
