Pom - 2 lingering close offshore
Bonxie - 3S
Arctic Skua - sev
Velvet Scoter - 3N

Plus varying numbers of C. Scoter, Gannet, Dunlin, Knot, Guillemot, Mallard, Grey Plover, C. Tern, Sandwich Tern, Sanderling, Oystercatcher and plenty of Wigeon and Teal. Not a single Shearwater of any description though!

Sandilands 06:40 to 12:30--tedious indeed---not really bothered if the box next to Great Shearwater on my Lincs List stays empty following what should have been a guaranteed day----Lincs is just not a good coast for watching seabirds!---haze, large swell, looking into the sun, dog walkers everywhere no chance of a bird landing on the beach---

1 yes 1 Manx Shearwater and that was far out
2 juv Long-tailed Skua north
12 Arctic Skua north and offshore
5 Little Gulls north
7 Red-throated Diver
14 Common Scoter
I Shag north
30 Pintail north
2 juv Med Gulls north
1 Razorbill
7 Guillemot and other auks
60+ Common Terns
7 Arctic Terns
70+ Sandwich Terns

Anyone check the Messingham fishing lakes for great shear ?

No seabird records for Gib over last couple of days - I was away in Yorks -managed 20 mins with bins only from Filey !

This evening, several sooties and bonxies north past Gib.

Cheers

Kev
