Post subject:  Branston Island 24 & 25/09.

Highlights of last two days.
Long-billed Dowitcher and Pectoral Sandpiper both still present today. Despite 4.5 hours watching yesterday, myself, Grahame Hopwood and Dean Nicholson, the Pec was not seen. Both birds do go missing for long periods in the vegetation.
Also seen:-
93 Pink-footed Geese over E today.
4 Shelduck
14 Wigeon
1000+ Teal
3 Pintail
50+ Shoveler
1 juv Marsh Harrier
4 Ringed Plovers
c15 Golden Plover
7 Curlew Sandpipers
51 Dunlin
10 Ruff
c30 Snipe
1 Black-tailed Godwit
2 Curlew
4 Greenshank
1 Wood Sandpiper
2 Yellow Wagtails
1 Siskin over calling.

Please access from Bardney Lock and stay on the bank on the south side of the area. The farmer does not seem to bother about this bank. Do not go down the east bank past the sluice!
