Post subject:  Gib. Point Night Heron

Managed to fit in both a morning and an evening visit to Gib. Point around a family trip to Norfolk today.

The morning visit was memorable for the extremely cold and wet weather.
We did manage long-range views of the Night Heron sat in the bushes but it could only be viewed from the track than links Jackson's with the Tennyson's Hides.
At a late evening visit the Night Heron was again seen, this time viewable from the Jackson's Marsh hide but the bird was still sat in the hedge - about as far from the hide as it could get.
Of further interest, 19 Little Egrets had collected on Jacksons Marsh just before dusk. They then flew off over Sykes Farm, presumably to roost.

Roy.
