Hi

As a token gesture of getting in on the seawatching act that is going well further north, John Badley and myself tried 2 hours off Tabs Head (Witham Mouth) this morning. The highlights were:

juv Sabine's Gull - very close inshore, lingering around the Tabs Head marker post, then flew north and made it onto Freiston Shore reserve, before turning around and heading down the Welland and then being lost to view in the haze. Probably less than 50m away at one point!

Puffin - 1 flew north onto Freiston Shore (1st record for the reserve?)
Razorbill - 1 in the Welland channel
Bonxie - 15
Arctic Skua - 4
Arctic Tern - 2
Gannet - loads!
R B Merganser - 2

Redstart - 1 along the Training Bank (teh long walk out to Tabs Head)
Wheatear - 1 "" "" ""

Cheers,

PF.
