Post subject:  Rippingale Redwings

The stars of a sizeable influx of birds in to my garden today were undoubtably 2 Redwings; leaf turning on the lawn with 6 Blackbirds. A supporting cast of 11 Chaffinches (the summer peak was only 3), 24 Starlings, 7 L.T.Tits, 2 Coal Tits, 2 Goldcrests and a G.S.Woodpecker made a welcome distraction from work.
Four Swallows at Folkingham were a reminder that summer has not quite given up yet!
