well its by the northernmost pool, which is closer to north Somercotes, or so the map suggests. Any clues as to how to get here are much appreciated, as multimap suggests there are no footpaths?

Please help someone!

I havn't done it for several months but I walk from Howdens Pullover or Stonebridge carpark, either way it's a long walk. Anybody know a shorter route?

thanks to those who didn't bother to put out a "no sign" report this morning - consequently I wasted alot of time, petrol money etc getting up there when I could have been doing something more constructive.

Heard a Yellow-browed by the row of white cottages a few times but not seen. A few Redwings also.

Glad I didn't go. I looked in at Howdens Pullover car park this morning but no birders there so carried on to Horseshoe Pt. Yellow-browed heard, then had text about the Corncrake at Sea View Farm but no sign of the bird in two visits including late afternoon.
Havn't seen many birders all week. I've been told most are in Norfolk, Wales and Suffolk or anywhere rather than Lincs.

Still quite a few redwing, song thrush, robins, pipits and finches coming in.
Also,

barred warbler 1 ringed
firecrest 2 ( 1 ringed)
ring ouzel 1
pink-footed geese - skeins continuing to head NW ! - is North Norfolk at capacity ?

A ring necked duck was reported for yesterday on Birdguides ! - Pants ??

Cheers

Seems amazingly earlier for Norfolk to be anywhere near capacity - it may well be simply food shortages pushing them in to Lincs to find stubble/beet....
