Four stonechats noted at the Trent Port wetland site (Marton) on 8 October near pumping station. Also over 100 teal in several flocks south. Cheers Brian |

On the Trent bank at Garthorpe, max count so far has been 9 (7 males, 2 females) on Sunday 7th October. Strangely, these are all within 50m of our house and I've not noticed any others nearby despite looking. There was a still-downy juvenile here on 24th May (and intermittent sightings later in the summer) though they did not breed on our land - perhaps from across the river on Burton Hills? Andrew |
