Post subject:  Gib Pt Arctic Tern

Continuing on from the discussion regarding the bill colour of Juv/1st w Arctic Tern a 'not very far south' pretty tame Juv Arctic Tern was on the beach at Gib Pt today. There was still alot of brown feather edging on the mantle and the bill still retained alot of red as per normal for a bird in this plumage - just getting late that's all when most will now be good 1st winters with mostly dark bills.
Also seen of note:
Jack Snipe - snoozing in front of Jackson's hide
Bearded Tit - 4 heading south
LT Duck - 2 s over sea

There was again a Juv/1st W Arctic Tern present but today it was feeding out in the channel at low tide - don't know if same bird as yesterday.
Also in the channel were 7 Eiders and 8 Red Throated Divers.
Woodcock seem to have arrived - I flushed 3 on the dunes
Otherwise very quiet.
