Cettis warbler ,msq,5/11.

Brilliant views of Cettis warbler as it left the reedbed(nr grebe Hide)to feed on lower branches and scrub under conifer which overhangs footpath,very vocal according to harriman nearly full song,jh missing seeing it by 5 minutes,very vocal for exactly one hour,then fell silent at 10.25,firecrest being looked for.
3 egyptian Geese.

When you say, "brilliant views" Rog, I trust that you imply that the skulking little devil was in view for a bit longer than the .0051738 of a second which is the average official time span over which this creature is normally viewable ?

hi max,
yeah it flew out the reeedbed into low scrub and very low conifer branches feeding and calling loudly for aproxx 3 to 5 minutes,i guess i was lucky,thou both craig and mal have had reasonable views but how long a view im not sure about theirs.
what puzzles us all its 5 weeks since first detected then silence till sat last,but most vocal by a long check cetti!!!yesterday.

The Cetti's was certainly vocal this morning until about 10.30 when about half a dozen of us had brief but good binocular views, then it went much quieter and could not be located. However, 'Farmer Ron' reports that the bird then showed well again mid-afternoon when about another half dozen people got on it.

Hi,yep showed quite well this afternoon from reedbed on other side of path in the open in low scrub,.
9 Whooper swans in front of Duck hide.
