Hello again. Haven't done much birding for ages due to ill health. Adult male Greater Spotted Woodpecker, windswept and rain lashed, clinging to the telegraph pole in the corner of our garden at Brookenby near Binbrook mid morning today.

Unwelcome Visitor Soon After: Large brown rat sighted on patio....its days spent suprisingly un-noticed and nesting below the kitchen drain are frankly numbered....
