4 adult White-fronts and 1 Pink-foot still present on winter wheat field this afternoon but no Greylags. Birds very wary, flew off when helicopter went over but came back in after about 5 minutes. |

The Greylags have moved to Nocton Fen, field next to Bardney Pits. |

First thing this morning I found the 4 White-fronted Geese had now joined the 200 Greylags in the field to the South of the Filter beds on Nocton Fen. Good views from the road. Also seen: 1 Buzzard 2 Little Owl 1 Male Hen Harrier 20 Siskin 1 Brent Goose (unusually away from the coast) |

3 White-fronts and 1 Pink-foot still with Greylags on winter wheat field by Bardney pits this morning. Later flew onto Bardney pits. |

From the road I had very good views of the 3 White-fronted Geese with the c200 Greylags in the field next to the Bardney Pits and alongside the River Witham (c11.30 - 12.00). The White-fronts kept to the fringes of the Greylag group. At c12.00 they all took off and flew over the bank to the pits. Also seen: incl. c75 Fieldfare 4 Mistle Thrush 18 Red-legged Partridge 6 Common Snipe 7 Pheasant. Regards, Freddy |
