I did my first early winter 2hr timed counts on Sunday in TF38 on the E side of Louth, the Hubbards Hills and Acthorpe Top tetrads. Best birds were

pair of Sparrowhawks almost displaying
23 Siskin
2 Grey Wags
1 Water Rail
4 Buzzards
1 Barn Owl
48 species in all. Great fun. Apart from trying to input the data on the website. Everyone must have been doing it Sunday night because it kept crashing. Managed it tonight no trouble, which reminded me to do this post! Should keep me out of mischief over Xmas doing the rest i signed up for.
