Thick fog at Kirkby-on-Bain virtually all day. Best I could come up with: Kirkby Pits wintering Common Sandpiper Kirkby Moor 1 Willow Tit 2 Green Woodpecker 3 Bullfinch Asterby 1 Barn Owl 7 Lesser Redpoll 3 Siskin regards Chris |

A late afternoon visit to the Pits was equally foggy; we did manage a lone Pinkfoot in a field to the south and approx 20 Goldfinches at the Pits themselves. A drive round Blankeney Fen was also quiet except for a solitary Stonechat (m) in a ditch. Rob and Alastair Carr |
