Kestrel hovering over my garden for about 3 minutes about half an hour ago! Flew slightly north, hovered over another garden then flew off towards the Lincs Wolds! ![]() |

ADDITIONAL: Wonder if this is the same Kestrel I see when I go for my gym workouts at the Princess Royal Sports Arena? How big is a kestrel's territory? |

It is difficult to assess the extent of the winter territory of Kestrels. Ringing recovery data has shown that both adults and first year birds move about extensively. It is only in the breeding season that territory size can be better estimated. |
