Out round Nocton area with Rick Bennett this morning, highlights were Branston Fen:- 18 adult Bewick's Swans with about 85 Mute Swans 1 Grey Wagtail Nocton fen:- 7 adult Whooper Swans c80 Golden Plover Wasps Nest:- c40 Fieldfare 1 Redwing 1 Tree Sparrow 1 female Brambling c140 Linnets, in one flock, on the wires Neville Wood:- 1 Nuthatch Potterhanworth Wood:- 1 Marsh Tit |

The Bewick's Swans now thought to number 20 birds have now moved to Nocton Fen and are with the Whooper Swans. |

Bewick's & Whoopers still on Nocton Fen quite close to the road today One dead swan opposite the pits, I assume it hit the wires as it is directly below them. |
