4 Barn Owls seen hunting during early afternoon between Woodhall & Horncastle. (Wed 16th) Heavy rain on Tuesday had led to flooding. Could the saturated fields have made their prey more accessible? Dave |

My guess is yes, considering that the rivers of Woodhall Spa and Horncastle were up to their necks. This would lead to burrows being filled in, pushing the the animals out, which would make them an easy target by Barn Owls. Barn Owls taking full advantage of this. It's quite logical. |

Also because of the rain the night before the Barn Owls would have been unable to hunt , so venture out earlier in the day as they are hungry. Trev |
