Another wet morning so spent two hours in the hide at Boultham Mere. 2 Bitterns seen three times in flight between 11:00 and 12:00. They were flying between the reed beds, not together, and made 3 lengthy flights. Also present:- 11 Gadwall 19 Shoveler 3 Pochard 43 Tufted Duck 1 redhead Goosander 2 Sparrowhawks displaying Water Rail heard |
