14.00 x 16.30 windy No shortage of water or birds. Kestrel - 4 Blue Tit - 2 Blackbird - 4 Great Tit - 2 Coot - 14 Teal - 154 Wigeon - 20 Mallard - 2 Red-leg Partridge - 4 Robin - 2 Lapwing - 80 [over] Redshank - 19 Reed Bunting - 1 Shelduck - 2 Shoveler - 2 Mute Swan - 34 incl two juvs in field to south of beck [ no whoopers...] Wood Pigeon - c1000 roosted in Snake Plantation... Not a bad afternoon to clear the cobwebs. Regards Max |

No WHOOPERS ??? One presumes there were not any Bewicks, Merlins, Hen Harriers, Peregrines, Jack Snipe, Stonechats, Scaup, Divers, Goosanders, Grebes nor Great Grey Shrikes either ? Can we have a full list next time, we need to know exactly what was not present. Dave |
