The Bittern was seen well in flight this morning at 10:33 when it flew from the reeds in the NW corner of the mere to the reeds on the south side of the mere. With Dean Nicholson. |

Bittern seen in flight this morning, Saturday 2nd, at 10:15 when it again flew from the reeds in the NW corner to the reeds on the S side. I have now seen 1 or 2 Bitterns on each of my last 4 visits. |

2 Bitterns showing really well for approx 1 hour between 2.15 pm and 3.15 pm Monday 18th. Opposite the hide on the edge of the reeds and occasionally coming out into full view. Also 2 Water Rails of note. |
