Having travelled the A153 around the Anwick area today plenty of Barn Owls Hunting around 4pm. Also early evening in Leagate Road, New York to Gipsey Bridge. However I would like some help. Around midnight over the last week I have had a Barn Owl in my garden sittting in a Eucalyptus tree and from time to time it appears to chase fast moving prey in the air. My garden is surrounded with conifers and during the summer we have nightly air displays of bats. There are a few about in this warmer winter weather. Would a Barn Owl take a bat? |

I would guess that they will take any mammal but they certainly take Starlings from their roosts after dark and that is another possibility ie taking some roosting birds from the conifers? |
