In addition to Steve's sightings, our flog up to the Glossy Ibis produced a male Hen Harrier and a Water Rail.......and a good appetite for lunch when we got back to the car! Regards, Colin and Sheila |

I also had the pleasure of seeing the pair of star Lincs birds today (Saturday): Cattle Egret at Legbourne in the usual field. Two visits made - from 11.30 and from 4.00pm with excellent views on both occasions. Glossy Ibis - from 12.50 with non-stop close views for over 30 minutes - a cracking bird and well worth the lengthy stroll from Howden's Pullover. (Mind you, in the chilly breeze I'm glad I had my own pullover on without bothering about Howden's.) For me,it was the first UK sighting since the regular Stodmarsh, Kent birds in the 1970's/1980's,when I lived in Folkestone. Regards, Freddy |

I also walked to the back end of beyond to get cracking views of the Ibis. This time it showed very well unlike when I was there last Saturday God it was a long way back to the car park though, but worth it. Perhaps having walked so far, the Ibis can be classified as the first bird of my green list! Saw a Sparrowhawk and 4 Little Grebes also in addition to Steve's list The Cattle Egret also showed extremely well - shame Arsenal didn't Steve The Buzzard was hassled by a couple of crows |
