No sign of female Brambling this morning (8 to 8.45am) at Bradley Woods.
Nice to hear Great Spotted Woodpeckers drumming though.

Cattle Egret still showing well at Legborne in bright sunlight with Buzzard again in the same field and a small flock of Redwing.

Also stopped at North Thoresby Fishing Ponds 10.45am, where a male Smew was present on one of the ponds not still frozen (right hand side as you come from North Thoresby). It took to the air heading towards Covenham before I left.
