I was awakened at 00:56 this morning by the earthquake which was shaking our house quite badly.
After the shaking had stopped it was noticable that the Pheasants across the field were all giving alarm calls and I could also hear two Robins "tick-ick-icking" in the garden.

I was sat at computer wide awake when the radiator started rattling and the room vibrated... and then typed out an e-mail about it and sent it to the local Telegraph Online.

Johnny-on-the-spot

Same for me, I was half awake at the time. Couldn't work out what it was for a start. Then about 30 sec after it stopped, I worked out what it was, and heard 2 barn owls (I think) screeching there heads off. Also I heard my mother saying "What if it happens again?"
