A walk around a blustery Gibraltar Point today failed to produce the hoped for Green-winged Teal but we did see:

Avocet 10
Little Egret 3
Red-throated Diver c45 birds fairly distant offshore were almost certainly this species and most were heading north.
Glaucous Gull 1, probably 2nd Winter heading south offshore, found by Ed Mackrill
Goldeneye 7
Dark-bellied Brent Goose c750
Black Brant 1 - Sheila is certain there were two!
Ringed Plover 1 on Tennyson's

With Ed Mackrill, Rob Watson and John Shaughnessey

Hi Colin

A couple of people have thought there may be two black brants in the flock, but JPS has seen what appears to be an intergrade as well as the pure adult.

Regards

Kev
