Post subject:  Freiston RSPB 11/03/2008

This morning Lou and myself went down to the first realignment cut and happened across a French tv crew hiding out of the wind with JB, whilst there 46 Whoopers dropped into the realignment area-the largest reserve count, and we also had female hen harrier and merlin. On the walk back near the hide was a chiffchaff, which is the earliest reserve record; so a pretty good morning really, cheers

Whoopers still present at 12.40h, heads under their wings most of the time & facing the stiff SW wind most of the time.
