A very pleasant few hours there today despite being cold and getting drenched at least 3 times in heavy downpours of rain and sleet!

6 Redpoll (quite a confiding bunch!)
1 Mealy Redpoll (hanging out with the above)
6 Siskin (4m2f)
6 Goldfinch
3 Robin
Lots of Wren
12 LT Tit
Lots Blackbirds collecting nesting material
4 Magpie
2 Bullfinch (male)

Tried without success to locate the Firecrest :( despite extensive search)

I think Waters Edge was shut when I got there except for hailstones that stung like ........
51 redshank
4 dunlin
4 ruddy duck - 1 male
3 goldeneye - 1 male
Looks like it was good to be a male unless you were a male birdwatcher. Still things can only get better - think I have heard that before
