Using up year end holiday today with more to come next week
Decided to visit Barton area
Miserable weather by the time I arrived

Read Island

a few curlew
plenty of wigeon
1 female Marsh Harrier

Far Ings

no sign of bittern
no sign of smew
no sign bearded tit
4 pink footed geese

Nearly got cleaned in South Ferriby by a white van driver who doesn't know what " give way means. Don't know how I missed him

Nice views of a short Eared Owl when I arrived but little else

A few teal and lapwing and a couple of kestrel

Was it a birder on their way to see the three Bitterns, or maybe had been and was rushing home to put it on the forum that they were still there. :lol:
